ARTDAYS 2017 . June 1 - 2 . Munich . Germany
ART's 3rd user conference again has been a very successful and highly inspiring event for all participants! Thanks to all of you!
Visitors could experience fantastic demos and new developments by ART and their partners in the accompanying exhibition. In the very lively panel discussion visitors as well as exhibitors and speakers were contributing their opinion and ideas for possible future trends in the "HMD, Projection or both?" question.
The pleasant evening event with traditional bavarian music and dinner offered the chance for networking and while away the evening within the VR Family.
Take a few minutes of reviewing two pleasant event days in the video and pictures below.
VERPOSE, quality control in assembly processes by 'verification of tool positions'
SENSOR FUSION, optimised tracking for use of head mounted displays (HMD) in freely scalable ART setups
FINGERTRACKING2 Tactile, enabling haptic feedback when touching virtual objects
MARKERLESS TRACKING, tracking of objects for example on the basis of their shape
This question affects many of us, so we made this the topic of the Panel Discussion.
Look at the graphic to see some key results of the discussion:
High-quality talks at this year's ARTDAYS showed the wide variety of use cases that VR and AR technologies offer:
VR to support the automotive industry:
- Quantitative ergonomics assessment data through ART's Motion Capture system (Carlos Fujao, Volkswagen Autoeuropa, Portugal)
- The virtual touch for immersive simulations at Renault (Javier Posselt, Groupe Renault)
- Using Augmented Reality for car presentations (Thomas Harbers, Greenpost GmbH)
VR in medicine:
- Tracking allows bio-medical visualization (Anton Koning, ERASMUS MC Netherlands)
- Tracking to support psychological analysis of patients suffering from PTSD (Prof. Dr. André Hinkenjann, Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg)
- The Human brain project (Thorsten Kuhlen, RWTH Aachen)
VR supports police activities:
- VR for crime scene investigation (Uwe Wössner, HLRS Stuttgart)
VR in geography:
- Innovation for the Oil and Gas Exploration (Manfred Bogen, IAIS St. Augustin)
These partners have contributed to a very attractive and inspiring VR event:
- Claudia Zintel and Eric Küpper, Viscon
- Ulrich Häfner, Imsys
- Benjamin Bayart, TechViz
- Christian Schöbel, VRLogic
- Friedhelm Birk, 3Dims
It's the perfect opportunity to introduce our newest 3D-solutions.
Viscon is very enthusiastic about the ARTDAYS and we are very pleased to be present as a partner company during this trade fair for the second time. For us, it is the perfect opportunity to introduce our newest 3D-solutions.
Valuable communication and exchange with ART colleagues, co-exhibitors, prospects and customers.
We are exhibiting again on the ARTDAYS event in 2017, because of the valuable communication and exchange with the ART colleagues, co-exhibitors, prospects and customers. We are also looking forward on innovative technologies and the demonstrating of new applications. Therefore we would like to be a part of the event to present also our ideas and innovations. Also the social part in the evening is very nice and enriching.
The possibility to look and debate on some of the most advanced solutions around tracking technology.
TechViz is very pleased to exhibit one more time at the ARTDAYS event because this event offers the possibility to look and debate on some of the most advanced and interesting solutions around tracking technology. Moreover, it brings the opportunity to show how it can be combined to our technology to meet customers' ideas and requirements.
Getting first-hand information about latest ART developments and future products.
Besides getting first-hand information about latest ART developments and future products, it is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate own developments with ART systems, meet other VR specialists and customers to exchange experiences and use-cases. Last but not least have some great Bavarian beer and food with friends at the Evening networking event.
We love to integrate ART tracking systems!
As a leading system integrator for virtual reality systems we love to integrate ART tracking systems. Therefore it is a must for us to join the ARTDAYS. We are looking forward to meeting interesting people, having valuable conversations with our customers and drink some Bavarian beers with our friends from ART.
